Maybe I should have titled this thread A stitch in time saves nine, or Whiny eco-liberals proven correct?
Fifty years ago, when the hydro-electric dams were being built, diverter nets and bypass channels were ignored, for whatever reason...... Then, when the salmon populations started decreasing, manual restocking of fry had to be done to maintain the basic levels, and greater consumer needs spawned nearby fish farming. This brought the diseases associated with clustering of food animals in small spaces. Now? Rip out that page of the Betty Crocker.
