Porsche driver flees, cop hangs on Vid

One disadvantage to having the key on the left, the cop had he known could have grabbed it while he was hanging on.

Why you would flee after he's written down you license plate? Guess the car must have been stolen.

Hope the bad guy got caught and had his as$ beat for treating that car like that. To say nothing of fleeing, practically dragging a person with you etc... Just the car treatment is grounds for a good old fashioned beating.

I don't understand why cops don't shoot fools like that more often. He was threatening the cops life with the car. Would he not have been justified in drawing with his right hand and just plugging the guy in his ear hole? Lets say the thief who doesn't even know how to drive then plows into a family and kills them (but of course he would live through the wreck).

That cop should have stepped away from the car before wrestling with that fool as he was trying to flee. There is no reason to place your unprotected self into a position where the criminal has a 3000lb weapon and intends to use it. Two shots to the rear tires as he left would have been more effective in this case.

I hope that thug got his a$$ tossed around really good when they caught him.

It a tragedy that this upstanding young man didn't do society a favor and go into a tree at about 125MPH. Maybe next time, I'm sure he'll be out with a slap on the wrist within a few days ....

I think the cop just tried to grab the keys but couldnt. I think if he was in danger he would have fled. I also think that shooting somebody in such an instance is uncalled for unless the driver had a weapon. I also think the suspect shouldnt get sentenced any differently if they were or werent under the influence. If they are unentoxicated and doing these things that proves they are crazy. If they are under the influence that shows the drugs are doing the driving but they should also be prosecuted for doing the drugs and the crime so that evens it out. Just my .02

I think the cop should have shot the perp, then tracked down the owner and shot him. Then gone after the families of each man. Finally, the car should be put down and Porsche AG should pay some restitution.

We, as a society, must send a clear message.

yeah as a cop he made a few mistakes, hindsight 20/20 though makes it easier for all of us to point this out.

World's dumbest cop meets world's dumbest car thief. It's amazing that they both didn't wind up dead.
