Australian Auto Events over the next 12 weeks??
Hello All,
I'm at a bit of a crossroads right now ... The bad - I got down sized out of my job on Friday The good - I've got a great severance (several months) so I've got some time to sort things out My sister and her husband moved to Melbourne back in May, so I'm making my way down under. They also have a Boxter S, so I'll have some great wheels to tour around in. I'm planning a 10-12 week visit. Anyone know of any vintage auto events going on in Australia over the next dozen weeks or so? Or can recommend any good driving destinations? Any feedback would be appreciated.... Cheers, lgb240 Last edited by lgb240; 01-25-2010 at 03:52 PM.. |

Here you go...these sites might help.
Historic Racing.com.au Calendar Victorian Historic Racing Register I would recommend the Phillip Island Classic, it is really spectacular and an easy drive from Melbourne. The event at Eater time at Bathurst would also be a cracker as well I'd imagine. Enjoy your stay! Oh and the spelling in the title of this post is a shocker ![]()

I would certainly try and attend the Australian GP (race #2 of the 2010 F1 season) at Albert Park, Melbourne, March 25-28.

A great drive is along the Great Ocean Road. You will truly enjoy it in a fine handling car. Spectacular part of the world.

Phillip Island Classic 19 to 21 March is quite a spectacle.
Easy day trip there and back from Melbourne. I'll race you there. F1 GP at end of March is also an obvious one.
