How to impress your Son in law...

How about a chance to show off your driving skills and take him and your daughter for a spin on the infamous Nurburgring in your old Citroen? Maybe not such a great idea!

Think he dropped the left front wheel off the pavement, not a good thing to do. Lucky chap, very lucky!!

Actually, I think it was a bump in mid corner that unsettled the car. Still, pretty fun as long as nothing is broken.

He probably hit a bump as stated, and then lifted. Not the right thing to do.

But what was more dangerous was the two things he did after the car came to a stop:
1. He got out of the car and walked around it. On a hot track, that is a recipie for disaster.

2. When he started driving again, he slowly crawled back out on the track and started creeping on the line. Given the fact that they estimated that he lost it at around 100mph, if a car would have been coming up on him at that speed, he would have been punted off the track.

Not an "expert" driver by any measure, for certain...

-Z-man.

I thought the title of the thread indicated something different...something like showing your new son in law one of these, with an explaination that you know how to use it...

I wonder if the driver did the rest of the circuit at 10mph?

#1 I bet he's got a crease in his driver's side seat

#2 echo what Z-man said - Insane to get out and stop there - if it unsettled him - will probably unsettle others.

He he, in Europe we like to do things a little differently!

Oh yeah Amen to what Z-man said, some people have no common sense.

Frightening. No helmets, nothing.

I agree, the guy should be fined DM 1,000,000,000 for going back on the line like that.

What a tool.
At least set aside the squeaky chit-chat for a moment, and have the brains to move up and to the left when stopped.
