Trend Micro warning about "anonymouse.org" only on Pelican Parts

I clicked a link in the forum and Trend Micro warned me about a dangerous site, anonymouse.org for "Hacking / Proxy Avoidance".

I understand what that sort of thing is for, but I haven't installed anything or started using that (at least not by my doing).

Wayne/mods, is this something new. I'm not too worried about it, but I would think that other folks might get really freaked out by the warnings.

These are the two URLs that it's warning me about over and over again.

Nevermind, I see that it's related to this thread
Guys, vote for my hot friend Jessica

It's weird that it's only started doing it in the last hour or less. I think my Trend Micro just did an update about then.

Steve - I had the same warning on my laptop at home which runs Trend. Can you explain in laymans terms why this warning is appearing!!

Many thanks
Matt

I believe that Wayne is using an anonymizer to pass the "votes" through. If I understand correctly, Wayne has a bit of code in his website that causes each page loading to "vote" on a web page, but so all of the hits won't come from Pelican, he's passing it through a public anonymizer service on the web.

If you were playing pool, and you are the cue ball. You want to sink the 8 ball in the corner pocket, but you don't want the cue ball to hit the 8 ball, so you shoot the cue ball at the 2, the 2 then bounces off of the bank and into the 8 which goes in the pocket. Pelican parts is the 2 ball, the bank is the "anonymouse.org" site, and the cue ball is the vote for the lovely lassie.

If you ran a business, and in that business you had a proxy so people couldn't surf porn, they could potentially use that anonymouse.org site or other sites like it to surf porn all day. .... or so I've heard.

Wayne's method is effective in racking up the votes - 7000+ votes for the "Pelican" girl now.

Best,

Kurt
