controlling computer access by time (PC)
Can anyone point me to ways to control PC access based on time of day? This is for our xp-based gaming machine. My son seems to like to get "insomnia" around 4am and go play. I want the machine to be "locked" between certain hours. There are certain games that have this feature, but I'd like to shutdown the whole system access.

You're probably familiar (or aware of) NetNanny, CyberPatrol and other kid safety software packages. For the most part these have the capability.
Here's another option: http://leithauserresearch.com/software_time_lock.html |
Now I'm interested in this capability for my daughter's laptop.
I found this free method which uses the Net User Command... http://tech-buzz.net/2007/03/06/how-to-restrict-logon-hours-in-windows-xp/ |
The machine goes in the closet at bedtime and comes out after homework is done.

Ha!
