Respect!

My first bike was a Bonny. 1977 Jubilee Edition. 25 years on the throne for Elizabeth II. Had little Union Jacks all over it - similar to the one in the pic below.

I shipped it to Europe for a lengthy tour and eventually had it stolen - or rather kidnapped - in Greece. A day later I got a call in my hotel telling me it was being held for ransom.

I eventually paid a ransom of $US600.- in cash to a very nice Greek student in a bar in Ommonia Square (Athens), who then walked me round the block where my Bonny stood, polished and filled with fuel. He apologized to me profusely and claimed that he needed to do this from time to time to fund his studies. I asked him what he was studying, and he answered "politics". I told him he would go far.

Enjoy the bike.

Very nice! Wish it was not so cold that you could not take it out for a ride more often now!

The shift is on the wrong side.
Was it around '75 they had to conform?

... so you're saying she's ugly?

Niiiiice. Congrats.

This year my present(s) to myself are lower control arms for the iX (ball joints aren't serviceable, so they're $240 a pop... thanks BMW!), new transfer case for the iX, new wheels and Blizzaks for the iX; new Bilstein HDs for the iX, and the establishment of a "cam and paint fund" for the iX.

Enjoy, and keep an eye out!

JP

Nice Rob! I we got more snow, I would have to get a modern sled. I have an old Artic Cat Wildcat 650 to go out and putz around on, but new stuff would be a blast!

Kurt, the Bonnie is nice, but man that Honda looks like a nice bike.
