As long as we are talking about movies we couldn't sit through... I know the movie is immensely popular on this BBS by all the quotes I see here and by the fact that it gets rerun on TV a whole lot.

But I have tried to sit through "office space" several times and it just doesn't do it for me.

My line from a movie that always comes back to me...

"And that's all I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one - I need this. The paddle game, and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches, for sure. And this. And that's all I need. The ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, this magazine and the chair."

.... How do you write women so well?

"First, I think of a man, then I remove all reason and responsibility."

Well, I'm not sure that it taught me anything, and it's too long to transcribe, but it is amusing.

In a movie with lots of great lines, the very first is in the form of a warning notice:

"WARNING
If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you
read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't
you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly
can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so
impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who
claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think
everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should
want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex.
Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a
fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will
become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler

Melvin Udall: I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.
