I know the judge in this case. He's a friend of the family, was supposed to officiate my wedding ( but was busy). I know he's not an asshat, so I wonder if there's another side to this that didn't get picked up in the media story. I'll see if I can find anything out.

From my understanding, even hard core prison types have their "code of ethics" and don't look to kindly upon child abusers.

My take: Good, lock 'em up and throw away the key.
