Hay TABS, or anyone, found an old rifle...

Up in Iowa this week, came across and old .22 bolt action. The only thing I can make out as far as a make is 'Arrowhead'. The stock is pretty solid, one piece, non laminate. It looks old, I am sure it isn't valuable but if it is any good I may just look to clean it up for our Son. I will take it to a Gunsmith to make sure it is sound.

Is this thing a run of the mill .22 bolt action? Who is Arrowhead? Should I even bother? I will try to take some picks but this dial-up is slow slow slow.

Sears and Montgmery Wards used to put their own brands on guns.

Possibly one of the rifles made by various manufacturers for Coast to Coast Hardware.

It is not listed in the blue book either by itself or as a cross reference to a house brand. Gotta be more info there lube. Coast to coast guns were made by Savage, Stevens, Mossburg and Springfield. I suspect this Arrow is the model name.

Gambles sold a 'Hiawatha', it may be part of that family.
