Top Gear Limo contest
Everyone who likes Top Gear really needs to see the upcoming show where the three hosts decide to build a limo out of readily available cars. It just showed today in Europe so may be a few days or weeks coming to the states.
Of course Jeremy Clarkson builds an abortion that looks like most of the car came from the local Home Depot metal scrap heap, and the other guys use an MG on one end and a Saab on the other, so you can guess what they look like. Jeremy's car breaks in half part of the way and drives the broken part to the destination, which looks and sounds very interesting. There is more, a lot more and really needs to be watched to take it all in. Was almost as good as their plowing a field with different tractors in a race to make bio-fuel last week! |
Joe, I believe those were reruns of Season 9 episodes 5 and 6 that you mention. Nevertheless very good episodes indeed. The part where Stig having a "hard time" in the cockpit while driving one of the tractors around the track was hilarious.

Sliding down the limo floor on a sled like a coal miner was classic.

Loved the Limo episode! Particularly when the "rear" steering came loose on the MG-Saab version.

It was an Alfa and a Saab.

I think it was one of the most hilarious episodes of TG I've seen. |
[QUOTE=Wayne at Pelican Parts;3674116]Good stuff - I haven't seen the RV (Caravan) eposide yet, I hear that is equally as good...
I saw it last week. Besides the noob problems of backing the trailer, think Beevis & Butthead...."FIRE, FIRE"!!!!!!!! It was almost as funny as the run along the Gulf Coast through Alabama. |
