You are on to something. Every day the world ends for thousands. It makes me wonder what precisely is the meaning of life, and whether there is a "higher meaning" somewhere. I have had some experiences in the past year that some would conclude were Imaginings, but I am not so convinced. The universe is far too complex to rule out anything in my opinion. I can give you one. In February of 2007, I had a nightmare two nights in a row "You have 100 days", and it scared me. I thought it meant me. So, I spent the 100 days redoing everything in the house to make life easier should I "go away". Here is the wierd part. Kathryn had her colonoscopy just about 100 days after the nightmare. I cannot explain that. I don't think anyone can. I am not supersticious nor am I insane. But what I am posting is the absolute truth.

So you know there is more...

What it is I do not know. If I were to "take a stab" at it, I would say what I have already said a number of times before. Nothing can be ruled out. Nothing is absolute and there are no answers that we with our limited abilities could possibly comprehend. Yes....what I described above and a number of other "experiences" (some of which occured to more than one person) have led me to the conclusion that you allude to.

I never thought it would work out that way......

I am just the opposite. I have no doubt I will survive my wife by many years. My money is on some sort of cancer with her habits and family history. You never can tell though, I may get hit by a bus tomorrow.

Happy New Year Bob, it was a lovely day in paradise today, I hope you enjoyed it.

Bob, I'm not sure how I missed your posts about your wife. Living in a cave? Compulsively self absorbed? OT hiatus? I have no idea. However, please let me now offer my deepest sympathies.

There are a lot of things about life and lives that we will learn someday. Let me say, based on personal experience and imo, the people we love are always with us. Some day it will be so clear to us how things work and it will all make perfect sense. But, for now, we are left looking for answers that sadly, man usually can't answer. Imo, your dreams just scratched the surface of what it's all about. Be happy and take heart, please, in the knowledge that in the end, all things will be made clear and you will be reunited with your wife. There is no end.

I want to wish you - Bob - a very happy new year! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/beerchug.gif
