More Homeowners and now Business Insurance BS
I need recommendations for an insurance company that will write commercial business insurance including vehicle, work comp, and general liability insurance.
Then I would like to find the same (prefer same company) for my homeowners and personal vehicles. I just got a call from my State Farm agent, in 60 days they are dropping my business insurance because my office is within a mile of the water. In the next 6 months I will loose my homeowners insurance for the same reason. I am selling my vacation home in NC and sometimes I wonder if I should just sell the Florida house and get out of here. Then I remember it was 11° in NC this morning with a high of 32 and its 48 here this morning with a high near 60 and I remember why I endure this BS. Can anyone suggest a company that could fill these needs.

I have Cincinnati for home, auto and commercial. I have been happy but have never filed a claim so that may have something to do with it. I also have a good agent.

Florida is tough. Get an agency that represents many insurance companies and you may get a clearer picture. That you have more than just homeowners may work in your favor. Also, consider higher deductibles. Good luck.

State Farm's not much of a commercial insurer. All the major commercial carriers will be able to handle you. Off the top of my head Liberty Mutual and St. Paul Travelers (Now I think just called Travelers) are logical choices. Both are big into comp and personal lines.
Another thing you probably should try is to contact an insurance broker. These are not agents, but are brokers who will fit you with the right policy and get paid a commission, like a real estate broker. They work for you so you are supposed to be able to rely on their advice. They can probably get you a better deal with a product that fits you better than you could get on your own, even considering the comission.

We use State Auto for home, auto, & business. They suck, I would not recommend them.
