video cam and software options, help needed
 

I've been using my JVC mini DV cam for all of my video work.
It came with an importing/editing program that seems to be incompatible with the Vista OS.

I need a solution for simple video capturing via USB cable. ( FREE )

I have editing and compressing software. ( Movie Maker, Windows Media Encoder )
With YouTube, the hosting is covered as well. ( kt746 )

I checked with JVC directly for a solution... Nothing yet.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
