A Crack In The Dike
Hillary came in THIRD..after all the money, the smart guys, and campaign machine she mustered, she still came in a close THIRD.
The look on ole Billys face belied it all as she rambled on about being "ready to lead." This is a big blow to her campaign. You can bet she is going to pull out all the stops in NH. But Obama seized the moment and had a Martin Luther King moment..that is going to be very hard to overcome. Obama has the high ground. Advantage Obama. If NH goes down for Hillary, SC is sure to follow and then maybe one more shot left in the gun and back to the Senate for Hillary. Unlike Bills "I feel your pain" charm, Hillary just has all the charm of a rattlesnake...coiled and ready to strike. Obama has leftist leanings but at least he is sensible enough to know that he has to gravitate to the center to be able to govern. My only question is who is the major benafactor for Obama.

I really dislike Hillary, can't stand Edwards, have you watched him speak, watched his mouth, watched is eyes, he really looks shifty, but then,
Tabs "Obama has leftist leanings but at least he is sensible enough to know that he has to gravitate to the center to be able to govern. My only question is who is the major benafactor for Obama. " I think the Republican party will benefit the most from these three. I still don't think Obama can be elected. |

Plenty of presidents lost Iowa. I'm happy to see Hillary lose, but it really means nothing at this time.

America really IS collectively stupid enough to elect Hillary. Don't kid yourselves. This is just a very small and minor caucus, of a non-representative population. Very few candidates that have won in Iowa have gone on to win the whole thing. Statistically speaking, this doesn't mean very much.

Losing Iowa isn't hillary's (or the DNC's) problem.
Her problem is that she is the most disliked woman in America, and completely and totally unelectable in a national election. It's not a matter of people being stupid or smart. People just don't like her and, nationally, just aren't going to vote for her. Her candidacy is a total joke. Any of the Repubs that had any showing in Iowa would beat her like a drum in a national election. Last edited by the; 01-04-2008 at 07:38 AM.. |

They said the same thing about her winning the NY Senate as a carpetbagger. I really am afraid of the stupidity of our nation right now. Every time I think we can't act collectively dumber, I'm wrong. A Hillary presidency would just be the latest bit of icing on the cake to prove it - as if it needs any proof.

It is much easier to win a (comparatively) small scale election. Don't think for a second that they didn't hand pick the district she would run in to guarantee a victory.

I think Hillary would be much easier to defeat than Obama. And I'm not so sure that a lot of Democrats just aren't sick of the whole Bill/Hillary schtick. The lying, the grubbing for money, the cronyism- and the aura of divisiveness, self centeredness and crass they virtually embody.
I've never forgotten that her first act as first lady was to fire the travel office employees and replace them with Arkansas cronies. My wife, a DEVOUT Democrat, remains convinced that Hillary had Vince Foster killed. I'm not sure of that- but the point is I wouldn't put it above her. She's the most ruthless public figure I've ever seen. She makes Nixon look like a pansy. |
