The bath probably has nothing to do with his condition. Don't blame yourself. Hang in there - nature will take its course as it always will. And if not always for what we feel is best - it is the way it must be. Best to you both. Appears neither of you will be without each other no matter what.

Ryan! A guy I know that's into rabbits gave this advice: "If the rabbit is till alive, you may want to respond to the persont o get them to the vet asap- sounds like the bath stressed him into ileus of stasis (slowdown of the digestive system)- rabbits generally don't like water. A vet can give the rabbit fluids to jumpstart the digestive system and get them pooping/eating again, and give them Oxbow Critical Care to help him heal. I just went through this with one of my rabbits and she made it. It could also be other things, but if he is cringing away from other things and, from the sound of it, not eating then it's very serious." My prayers are with you. I feel the same way about my border collie.

Praying for you both, Ryan! I got to meet both of them this summer, what an amazing guy and yes, an amazing rabbit. Follows him around the house like a puppy. I know what a great pet owner you are, Ryan. You've given him a life beyond what any rabbit could ever hope for, that's always the important thing w/ animals. My dog is fading pretty fast from Degenerative Myolapathy, (like polio for dogs, he can barely walk), I'm carrying him around and don't want to let go. At some point I will have to, but as long as he has an appetite and is not in pain, he stays. Haven't shared about it on the board because I just can't handle discussing it, but maybe I'll start a thread in case any vets are around here. He's been to the best in the country already. It started maybe 2 or 3 days after I was in Little Rock and met you. All the best to you, Ryan. You have real friends here and you are a great guy with some amazing special abilities, how many people on the street can jump in a Lear jet and fly the sucker? Hang in there, we are praying for you. | ||
