Tenacious little buggers, aren't they?

I remember my dad trying like mad a few years ago to rig up something in his back yard to keep the squirrels from getting at the bird feeder. Pretty funny. Everytime he thought he had it figured out, they'd figure out a way to get to it. They're amazingly resourceful.

Thats some work. Squirrels are cool - some people hate them but I always got a kick out them. Hard workers for sure.

Wonderful! Wonder how long it took the critter to master that one? !

I thought working on a 911 was easy. :)

Yea, it's not so much hard as time-consuming.

And expensive.

I'd like to see that squirrel cross the road without getting run over.

Bought one of those for my father 5 or 6 years ago. Every part has a lifetime gurantee, and he's used it a couple of times, no questions asked. Absolutely squirrel-proof. Dad turns it off intentionally every now and again to lure them back.

Not much to do in the country...

Ha!
We shot that bird feeder for a client years ago--I had a guy stuff a squirrel for me that looked like it was falling to put in to the shot. I'll take a pic tomorrow if I remember!

Great idea. Squirrels are amazingly resourceful and it's quite a job getting a bird feeder set up that they can't get to but the birds can't.

And yes, that would be good amusement for hours watching them go sailing.

For added fun, put a pool of water under the feeder. :) Of course it'd get a bit messy from the seed husks landing in it, but still. . .

I love looking at squirrels........though the scope of my .22.

Squirrel hunting in the hardwood forests of the midwest is a lot of fun.
