Fundamental problem with election coverage by all media
Has it occured to anybody else that the media spends more time talking about poll results than they do the various candidates positions on assorted issues?
i can turn to any major network channel and get poll #'s out the whazzoo and listen to 'experts' talk all night long about what the #'s predict, but if i want to see a candidates voting record i have to dig through 10 feet of nonsense online to get to it.

That's because the average voter wants to vote for a winner. If you had to actually think or - horrors - be able to explain one or two positions of the guy you want to vote for before you could vote, then we'd have much more intelligent campaigns and Ron Paul would be top tier.
