Tail Fin Options
I have notice several different tail fins you can have on the 911. The duck tail, the coffee table whale tail, the automatic spoiler (newer models) not to mention some stranger items and the very attractive 959 rearend.

Has anyone ever fitted a widebody 911 with one? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1199987245.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1199987257.jpg |

I think the 959 tail would look super goofy on anything but a 959.
|
As opposed to Thom's? Just kidding Thom...
|
If I remember correctly, Thom's is there for racing, and he tried a bunch of different variations. The problem with teh 959 tail, is that I don't think the regular wideody rear end is nearly as wide as the 959, so the "hoop" would go to the edges of the car.
|
Maybe so - but what about a custom variation?
I was just teasing Thom - knowing what he can do on the track, that fin is like the split keel the folks from down under pioneering in the 83 Americas Cup - strange looking but highly effective. |
Here you go: Ruf's CTR-2

I love what RUF does, but this is one of the fugliest 911's ever made. It may work well, just guessing, but man, hard on the eyes..... Cheers |
