if countrywide became profitable all by itself would you be mad that it utilized NOL's?

this is the same sort of misleading nonsense that had me spending hours on the phone telling clients that uncle sam really wasn't going to buy them an SUV. it doesn't say much for Americans that the writer thought he/she could get away with such a pile of dog crap.

i presume they are getting some buildings and desks and phone systems, etc. for their $6b? well guess what they won't be deducting on their books since this is a stock purchase. yup, buildings and desks and phone systems and so forth.

And Jeff, while your in a foul mood you might consider taking a big steaming dump on the doorstep of all your neighbors who own electric cars. those sob's got a tax break paid for by YOU to help subsidize a bogus technology that has no chance of making any real difference!

now THERE is an effing crime.

Great move by BOA. BOA had already invested $2B in Countrywide last year. It was not in their best interest to let Countrywide go under...the tax break was just gravy.
