Cheap Bulk Ammo
Where's the best place to buy bulk ammo online?
Even with the recent, dramatic run-up in ammo prices (50%-300%), I can't find any places online that beat the local prices, and shipping costs and/or club fees blow any minor savings out of the water. Does anyone know of a good place to buy discount bulk ammo? |
walmart? j/k

If your going thru a lot just reload your own, thats what I do then you can custom load too, thats a lot of fun. We collect wheel weights at the shop and use those.

Sort of reloading your own or buying from a quality reloader @ a gun show, I suggest http://cheaperthandirt.com
|
Sportsmans Guide always sold bulk ammo dont know if they still do.
|
Last I checked, Cheaper Than Dirt was a LOT more expensive than not just dirt, but also other ammo suppliers. I suggest Lancer Ammo or Georgia Arms. Free shipping over $500 too!

It's been several years, but I used to buy a lot from Georgia Arms.
Good prices & good quality from what I recall. |
I think the current production Wolf ammo is probably the way to go on bulk these days (Unfortunatey)..... You can still find some quality older stuff out there but you have to dig for it.... The only stuff out there right now for my .308's is the Indian stuff, and I will not put that stuff in my guns..... good luck on your quest.....

+1 for Georgia Arms. Nice guys.
http://www.georgia-arms.com/ These guys will take your old brass and reload it; I've had good luck with the .357 and .38 reloads, but the .45 Long Colts are a bit smoky. They also sell new ammo too, and free shipping if you buy enough. http://www.bullseyeshootingsupplies.com/default.aspx A lot of guys in the gun forums rave about ammoman, but I have no experience. Prices seem nice. http://www.ammoman.com Here's page with nothing but ammo deals: http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php |

I just went to Wal Mart. I got a few boxes of the Federal Bulk in .22LR (550 for $12--used to be $8) and some Federal 12 Gauge 7½ shot (100 for $21--used to be $12).
Maybe I should start reloading. I have 400 rounds of 12 Gauge 7½ shot on hand. That's an afternoon of trap shooting for me. That used to cost me $60--now the same stuff would cost me $96. |
I havent purchased from them yet, but the prices are good http://bulkammo.com/

I've been happy with www.ammoman.com

As much as I hate the place, Wal-Mart is pretty damn cheap for ammo. I get Blazer brass .45 ACP for about $11/box of 50. Same stuff goes for $18 at the range. It's not by any means bulk, but the shipping is cheap.:)
