Woo-Hoo! Giants play at Breen BaY!

That is some serious good news for us Packer fans!

:D:D:D

Between penalties and just shltty play in the 2nd half, the Cowboy didn't deserve the win. Jerry Jones looked like he could spit nails.

Packers beat the Giants and play the Pats in the SB.

Packers beat the Pats and Brett retires on top.

I'm a Giants fan but I'd like to see it go that way for Farve.

SLO-BOB 01-13-2008 05:01 PM

Romo and Manning both stunk it up. Romo hung on to the ball when he should have gotten rid of it, and got rid of it when he should have hung on. What was he thinking?? Either way, I'm glad. I would have hated to see another game in Dallas. It should be a great game next week. I predict a GB victory of course.

People have been saying Favre should retire for years. He is arguably the best QB in the game. I think he should play as long as he is able.

You happen to catch the late game Saturday?

JCF 01-13-2008 05:14 PM

Dream match - up (for me anyhow)
OLD SCHOOL
It is going to be awful tough to win 2 games against a better team without a secondary, but GO GIANTS !

Not saying he SHOULD retire. Be a nice way to cap a career though.

You mean the one where the Pack handed Seattle their a$$es with a final of 42 to 17....in the blinding snow? Yeah, I saw the whole game. It was great! Why?

Second to the fact the Bears didn't make the playoffs. That might have not worked out too well for GB. :D

Jim Richards 01-13-2008 05:57 PM

I'm glad the Packers are home for the NFC Championship game. Thank goodness Favre's "0 for Dallas" thing won't be replayed over and over and over and over and over on the sports programs this week. :)

Well at least he had favre on his list!

;)

I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in my assessment of Favre.

dd74 01-13-2008 06:24 PM

Amazing! I called the Giants to beat the Cowboys. I'm 3 for 4 this weekend. I knew Jax wouldn't take the Pats. That's OK. The Superchargers will. :D

Les Paul 01-13-2008 06:42 PM

The little pig eyed bastard Romo does it again. Wow 2 fer. I hope Brett hands NY their ass next week.

JCF 01-14-2008 03:32 PM

I heard it will be around 4 degrees in GB for the game- another Ice Bowl - Cool!

about 19 degrees in Foxboro

paulgtr 01-14-2008 03:58 PM

giants are winning when and where they have to.
I never imagined they'd make it this far.

4 degrees in GB? Sounds like you're talking about Fall.

vbaron 01-20-2008 07:18 PM

You Green Bay fans got your wish - the Giants WIN!!!!!!!!

Don't know why you thought they would be the easier team - unbeaten in their last 9 road games!!!

Jim Richards 01-20-2008 07:20 PM

Not easier, just at Lambeau. Don't be a hater.

Yeah - I did think it would be easier than playing Dallas on their turf again. Our record there is terrible. The outcome probably would have been the same, but who knows?

Fwiw - I think the Giants did a really good job and showed great poise. They earned the win and the title. Manning really put it together. Smith and Burress were awesome. I wish them luck in the SB. I'll be rooting for them.

JCF 01-20-2008 07:42 PM

Now who the hell am I going to root for......
My two teams in the Super Bowl.
Damn !

Go Pats but got to love those New York Football Giants !

Didn't the New York Baseball Giants move to SF 50 years ago?

JCF 01-20-2008 08:46 PM

And the New York Football Giants moved to the Meadowlands (New Jersey) from the Old Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium - what's your point ?
