 Back Door Slam

Caught these guys last night at House Of Blues in Dallas.
Power Blue's trio from the Isle of Man of all places. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/y7PtSsbkGdM&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/y7PtSsbkGdM&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> http://www.backdoorslam.com/ They are in their early 20's. Great gig. Singer reminds me of a young Stevie Winwood both visually and vocally. Kid can shred as well. Check em out if they come to your town. |

 +1 cool band.

Not what I was thinking, but ok.
	They sound good. |

 I like 'em, thanks!

 Can play...

Wow, thanks for the tip. I really liked that clip and I downloaded the album from iTunes. Man, this is just about the best album I have heard in a long long time. Every song is great. Count me a fan!

Is it just me, or was the bass player not up to snuff with the lead guitar player?
He was doing a pretty basic bass line...I think something that moved a little more would have been appropriate. |

Considering the population of Isle of Man is just south of 76,000 finding ANY talent would be a challenge. And let's face it, the band is all about the lead. Think SVR and Double Trouble. Tommy and Chris are awesome but it was all about Stevie. |

Not comparing him to Stevie Vay Raughan (SVR :)), but that's who came to mind as I watched the video...

 Excellent! Thanks for sharing that!

I like this band but I think that maybe in 5 years or something the guitar player will play about 30% less, and then they will be awesome. |
