Did Daddy get "all liquored up and scare decent folk"?

How was the "retreat" Lendaddy? Stay out of jail? :D

Quick skinny,

The roads were awful! They shut down 31 south and we sat there for a while. At one time we could see six different accidents at one time.

We almost headed to Indy but stopped at Chicago(it took 6-1/2 hours to get there instead of the normal 2-1/2). Hit a few bars and drank a tremendous amount of alcohol. Didn't do anything really stupid but had a great time, met lots of people.

Got back to the room about 4:00 A.M. then woke at noon the next day. Hit the bars again and did it all over. I drank so much that I forgot to eat, seriously. I went 24 hours without eating and didn't realize it (my prior meal being a "cup" of chili). ***Do NOT do this if you can help it, definitely NOT one of my better moves.

Had a great time with great friends but damn is Chicago expensive! We had two cancellations so there was only three of us but we could have bought a pretty decent 944 with our bar tabs.

FWIW, no titty bars. It was so insanely cold that we didn't want to walk anywhere and the barstool seemed like the greatest place in the world after two blocks:D It was crazy cold!!!!

The ride home was what I expect hell will feel like if you can imagine.

Feeling 100% now though. Maybe I'll post more details as I remember them:D

The clubs downtown suck anyway...

(Thanks Mayor Daley for making the girls wear pasties! )

My hat is off to you Lendaddy! I don't think I would have survived. Amazing what the years can do to ones tolerance levels. In college that kind drinking was just a fairly typical weekend....now it would probably kill me. :D

I assume you were sobered up by the time you got back to your wife ;)

lendaddy 01-21-2008 02:06 PM

I was sobered but hurting, she was out with the kids until 8:00 so I got some much needed quiet time:)

I will add this little tidbit of knowledge.

The married 30-40 something women looking to score is much much much larger than I previously would have imagined. So guys, when your wives go shopping in Chicago......:D

And no, there was no partaking.

Len, 31 N/S on the N/W side of Chicago? If so, you were likely right by my house...

Chicago is damned expensive, you're right...

31 in Michigan actually. The stretch just north of Michigan City was glare ice.

The last bar we went to Saturday sobered me up. It was some horrible piano bar with some idiot that couldn't sing if his life depended on it. He made up for that with the annoying over enthusiasm of a 10 year old girl at a Hanna Montana concert.

Anyway, I ordered a couple of well drinks for my buddy and I and the chick hands me two short plastic cups and says "18". I look at her and in completely honest confusion say "No, sweety I'm well over 21." To this she replies "no honey, 18 dollars".

I'd need access to Motions checkbook to get drunk at those prices.
Yea, back to the Irish pub:D

I think that's basically true of all women from the midwest.
