It's funny you posted that Romans passage. It starts off: "1I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it in the Holy Spirit— 2I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart."

Any time any orator, leader starts off saying he's not lying, he usually is. And it's also basic psychology that he's trying to convince himself while trying to convince others. Paul had a dark heart. You can see it in all of his writings, like a cancer.

the Gospels are full of hope. Paul's letters are full of division.

You’re all still talking as if abortion was the problem. It’s not. It’s just a symptom of the problem. The problem is unwanted pregnancies. Make the problem go away and the symptom will take care of itself.

I’m pro-choice and I don’t “like” abortion. I’d rather not have the need. But until the problem (which is unwanted pregnancies) goes away, the need will exist. As long as the need exists, abortions will happen, whether legally, safe and sane, or illegally, unsafe and unsane. I choose legally, safe and sane.

How about discussing how to solve the problem, rather than the symptom?

How's the pro life crowd with aborting tubal pregnancies, aborting thru the use of birth control (yes, some of them work after fertilization), aborting a severely deformed fetus? Even conventional birth control that inhibits fertilization is messing with the natural process.

The conventional pill has an 8% failure rate in the first year of use. What then if a twenty year old college student who is trying to be responsible rolls the snake eyes? Does she make a decision that might result in a great life for two or three children down the road in her life or does she take a path that might result in a child without a father figure or bad foster parents or a child spending his entire youth in an orphanage? WHo's man enough to make that decision for her?

Gassy, the question was written in the same vein as what would life be life here in America with 22 million more in the workforce, living, dying, and starting families. It is (more or less) the direct result of this 1973 ruling that we are not living with and around these aborted people. You could, for one, not afford to replace 22 million (Approx) in the work force (making room for statistical modeling).

I got confronted twice by those sign carrying clowns. I had a client next door to the abortion clinic & when my female employee & I got out of the car (next door) we were set upon. Frenzied scripture quoting ensued. The first clown responded to me screaming in his face that we weren't going to the clinic. The second guy wasn't quite as good a listener. After I shoved him backwards a few steps & explained that I intended to break his jaw if he didn't leave us alone, he says "so you're not going to the clinic?" He had heard me all along. Then I really wanted to hit him.

Great folks those anti-abortion protesters.
