You may as well give it to the '72 Dolphins, because the Pats have this year, and the foreseeable future. The Dolphins will be lucky to have the NFL let them back in next year.

This is very like the God thread, neither side will convince the other but it's interesting to hear the other side's argument.

The reality is that this planet is overpopulated by some 2-3 billions. Draconian measures must be taken, and soon. Natural resources have been squandered,..just think of the ecological damage those aborted 20+ millions would have done..the added plunder of the planets dwindling mineral wealth...especially if they are North American. Abortion is one solution.

Gospels? Personally I believe they are nothing more than the rantings of glassy eyed wackos, social outcasts and misfits.
Not to belittle your belief, but it amazes me than a THINKING adult would accept any of that tripe as divine word.

Its my belief that our species is the progeny of ancient travelers [ AKA God ]..settlers of new worlds, refugees from a dying planet as it were..much as we [[NASA, European Space Agency, Russian Space Ministry and Canada's NASA counerpart ] are preparing to do on Mars in 2014. As I understand it, the long range plan is for Terraforming the Martian atmosphere to a 15:1 oxygen/nitrogen mix while utilizing greenhouse gas generators to raise surface temps to a -20C winter/+26C summer range. Colonization is expected to begin at the end of this century, or early next.

Mars is our species 'Lifeboat'..as was this planet before it.

While we are waiting..More abortions please.

OH, it'll be fun and games right up until that Alien ship is found in the subterranean cavern.

Your first sentence is poorly constructed.... I understand all the arguments. But your freedom stops at the surface of my, and every one else's, outer skin layer, except probably your minor child.

Nah, Mars doesn't have the magnetic field necessary to keep the solar wind from stripping away its atmosphere, so trying to reestablish an atmosphere is futile. This all comes from stay at Holiday Inn Express last night.

Thanks Hugh, I took business and can use some help in grammar anytime you wish to give it.

Now, as for your epidermal condition on the constitution, do you have an amendment in mind to back that up?

Aborting fertilized cells is killing a baby. Every time. Without exception.
Pretend, turn you head, invent a catch phrase, ignore reality if you must.
It's still the truth. You cannot change this.

You are right about the ridiculous post, everything else I am sorry you are wrong about.
Fertilized cells inside a mothers womb are fertilized cells inside a mothers womb. You have answered your own question.

Aborting fertilized cells is the same as lighting a stack of 2" x 4"s on fire and saying you have burned down a house. It might be a house one day, just not right now.

Really 70SAtMan, is it any more rational believing that some bored old guy existed in an empty void for all eternity before 'creating' the universe, then selected a tiny insignificant sphere..just 25,000km in diameter mind you.. in a minor galaxy, to place his/her 'science project? Of the trillions of stars, in trillions of galaxies, this sphere alone was selected for the uniqueness of having 'life'? To cap it off this 'being' formulated a list of rules that would condemm a violator to eternal torment..before he/she actually 'created' our species. Throw in his/her knowing who would violate thse commandmants even before they were concieved really strains one's imagination.

To tell the truth, conventinal religion paints the picture of their 'loving' God as being cruel, sadistic and ungrateful. Think about it...whose God is right? Theirs, yours, Mine? In war, God is on every side of the conflict..

God. A bogeyman fabricated by ancient powers to frighten the simpleminded and supersticious into obeying and accepting edicts and directives. What better way to control the masses than by having some 'all seeing' spectre looming unseen, ready to cruely 'punish' those who might transgress. Simple people required simple explanations for natural occuring events..hence God, Satan, Heaven,Hell.. and scriptures.

More abortions please...

So wouldn't the mother's freedom stop at the surface of her unborn child's skin?

What many of you seem to focus on is the "mass of cells" or "zygot". Of course you all realize that where abortion is legal, it is legal well beyond this stage of development. In some places, into the third trimester. No one can honestly say that a life is not being taken at that late stage of development.
