I have a problem

I just bought some G26 and some AR15 magazines.

I don't own a G26 or an AR15......................yet.

repp 01-24-2008 05:55 PM

your aim is in the right direction.

many944s 01-24-2008 06:35 PM

Hell Chris, that sounds like the best reason to buy some new guns!!

BTW, I have been talking to a couple of the local ranges trying to set up
a group rate during the same weekend as the get-together at my shop later this year. (I haven't chosen a date yet, though I am leaning towards the 3rd weekend in August again) I'll be starting a planning thread soon :)

What could be better than that... Working on P-cars & going to the gun range?

Mail those AR-15 mags to me and I'll make sure the springs stay exercised, since I got an AR-15 last night.

Nothing man.

Nothing.

Bushmaster M4....... Bushmaster M4.......Bushmaster M4......

no subliminal message here....;)

legion 01-24-2008 07:30 PM

Do you have one for sale?

I've pretty much decided that if (when) I get an AR, it will be a Bushmaster.

VINMAN 01-24-2008 08:24 PM

Not selling mine! Never ever, ever!
Check out Gunbroker.com seen some great deals on them on there.

I still regret selling my original Colt AR-15 yrs ago. The price tripled on them.

I see the black guns being referred to as 'tacticool' firearms.
Remington is selling a (camo) Bushmaster, the R-15.

So what's the problem, exactly...?

BlueSkyJaunte 01-25-2008 06:36 AM

Same with the Galil AR 223...in fact more than tripled.

Go here. http://www.rockriverarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=GOVT1001&storeid=1&image=gov07.gif&C FID=7525684&CFTOKEN=35897756

There are many manufacturers of AR15's but I am partial to RRA.

Also check out their match 1911's. (I don't NEED one...but I WANT one bad ;))

VincentVega 01-25-2008 08:29 AM

Same problem here. I'm looking for 7.62x51, but dont have a use for it yet. Strange times.

KFC911 01-25-2008 09:14 AM

I've bought Playboy magazine before...for some reason, it doesn't work that way :)

gt350mike 01-25-2008 09:39 AM

When .223 just won't do.....

How about a .458 SOCOM!

To be honest, I didn't know a 458 SOCOM existed until today.

So I was in Farm & Fleet looking for some slugs. (I was in the mood to see how accurate the 18" barrel on my 870 was.) I noticed they had some Remington UMC .223 for $7.76 a box of 20. I bought all 10 boxes they had in stock. (Isn't .223 normally going for $20 for a box of 20 right now?)

Tim Hancock 01-25-2008 02:16 PM

 Last bulk package of 20 boxes of 20 (20 rounds per box) I bought cost me $80.00 at a gun show last summer (about $4.00 per box of 20).

$20.00/box? Maybe high end match grade stuff. At nearly $8.00 a box, I would say you paid bit more than you could have if you shopped around, but it has been at least 6 months since I bought any.

I usually just buy Wolf for my AR as it is usually the cheapest and these guns will handle it just fine. If I was a match shooter, I might buy something better, but a lot of people use Wolf for cheap plinking with no problems.

Purists flame away, but Wolf is plenty good enough to run thru my AR.

legion 01-25-2008 03:54 PM

In the last month or two, ammo prices have gone up 50%-300%. That box that cost you $80 now costs $160.

red-beard 01-25-2008 05:26 PM

I picked up a good deal from Impact guns last summer, Armarlite AR-15, $899.
