ebay redirect

Suddenly, when I try to log on to ebay, I get a message, similar to:

"The page you are looking for has been moved. If this page does not redirect you in 10 Secs, please click here."

Anyone else get this?

Wondering if ebay has changed something or if I have a virus or ????? on my machine.

Thanks.

get hijack this...you have a redirect virus most likely...
download spybot, run it then delete all the bad stuff...reboot and do it again, then try to log in ebay.

I'd be worried that you just entered your username and password on a spoof site, and that your ID has now been compromised.

Close the browser. Open a new one, type in the url www.ebay.com (don;t click on any links in case they are misdirection) and log in. Then change your password.

Do you get this message when you try to log in from www.ebay.com or from a link that you have bookmarked?

Try a log in directly from http://www.ebay.com

I would guess you are trying to login from a bookmark.

Best,

Kurt

xp or vista?

tcar 01-31-2008 02:11 PM

XP.

I did 'fall for it' the first time and redirected and entered my password.

I've changed my ebay password but probably 20 min. elapsed before I did.

Not logging in from bookmark, typing in ebay.com on my normal aol account.

I don't get the redirect if I use a different aol account, or use my yahoo account.

Did Spybot and AdAware (lavasoft) updates and ran them, restarted. Still have the redirect.

Think changing my ebay password is enough or should I also change my username (can't think that would help).

I have a couple things for sale and am bidding on a couple others.

Now, when I type ebay.com on the web address line, I get the redirect message.

when I type http://www.ebay.com, I don't get the message.

I also just got this.????

I am running FireFox but I did not click the link. Gonna run my scans.

Just got it too. Running Firefox. It happened when I typed in "ebay.com" in the address bar. Does not happen when I use the bookmark.

tcar 01-31-2008 08:29 PM

Well... still get it on my home computer laptop. XP.

Same thing. Get the message like before. Don't if I use another screen name or another brower.

Sounds like it's not just me, though, or IE.

I did change my ebay password to be safe.

Anyone help?
