If I was a betting man (and I'm not), I'd bet flatty's sig line wasn't a political statement.

I have to agree that there is little difference between the actual behavior of D and R politicians. They both pander to commercial interests now. Both are power-hungry liars.

And I would also agree that the R's have abandoned the strategic center portion of the playing field. Big mistake.

And finally, with all due respect to the Churchill quote (take note I am offering no more than the respect that quote is "due"), I am not the slightest bit surprised that thinking people would be fiscal conservatives AND somewhat liberal in terms of social goals. Nobody supports fiscal irresponsibility and the folks who think liberals do support fiscal irresponsibility are......let's say they are in a world of their own.

The social considerations in our society are extremely simple to some people. The folks who think these issues are complex are........informed.
