Check out the OT section of the boards. There was a thread about it last week.

You can see how often I check the OT forum!

I don't blame you...it's pretty dangerous over there! ;)

It will suck. I personally guarantee that this is a horrible idea. Why won't they just buy a license to syndicate the show on our networks? Oh wait, because they will anger our advertisers when they give a negative review to each horrible iteration of the mustang/camaro/charger/ or sporty flavor of the month. For the record: they do like the new vettes.

"For the record: they do like the new vettes...."

In the TG show I saw, J. Clarkson either liked it as a track car and hated it as a road car, or vice versa. But that may have been an "older" version.

Here's the Z06 show. He arrives at the same conclusion as an earlier test:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8tztm9dLyY4&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8tztm9dLyY4&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

In this one, Hammond tests a C6 (also features a drag race with a TVR 350, Honda NSX and a 911). Among his remarks:
".....This then is America's Porsche 911, but here in Europe, we already have a Porsche 911. It's called the Porsche 911."

I was just trying to deflect some of the criticism they get for being entirely un-american. Personally, you couldn't catch me dead in a vette, no matter how good they are, they will always be tacky. Compared to their general disdain for all things American, and frankly Clarkson's disdain for all things Porsche, they did find some redeeming qualities.

They are definitely doing an Australian version. Casting calls have gone out.

Oh, I dunno. While I prefer Porsches, I like whatever goes fast. You'd def catch me in one - hopefully alive, though. And over here they're percieved as being pimpmobiles:eek:

Here the perception is sort of:

Men with gold necklaces, $10 imitation rolex w/ 50 imitation jewels, sporting a gallon of cologne, silk shirt unbuttoned to the navel, white shoes...

I don't know most of the people on this thread, but apparently they are afraid of OT.

Maybe I should start trolling on the 911 forum...

Who are these strangers? They apparently do not travel to the dark side.
