Actually Mule, you have kept your streak alive and you are incorrect once again.

It is commonly accepted that "ignorant" is what can't be helped since ignorant people primarily either have no knowledge or no info.

On the other hand "stupid" people do have some info, facts, knowledge, etc but they simply do not or cannot process it correctly.

However, since you were almost half way to getting it right we will award you a bronze star with the hopes that you will some reach not only silver but gold status. Good luck ;)

I am at a major disadvantage as I was relatively stupid and ignorant before I ever found this place.

Ignorance is helped by education. Stupid, IE you, is irrevocable!

Wrong again. Since stupid people often do have some info and facts but process it wrong...they can be taught logic and how to methodically make proper use of the facts and info that they possess.

However, one of the first steps is to not call yourself a dumb animal. :D

Ok... I'm new here. But I spent the better part of 2 hours reading this thread and the thread that caused this thread to be posted. I think that gives me the right to comment.
Both are very entertaining reading, thought provoking, and some posts even witty. But when witty turns to malice the entertainment value diminishes. The only thing Janus did wrong, IMO, was stupping to Mules level. I thought his 'essay' was very well written and yes thought provoking. But was it worthy of the threat of litigation? GEEZZZZ boys and girls. In the words of the famous Rodney King.... "Can't we all just get along?" Unfortunately the answer is no. It's not in humans nature to be a kinder, gentler person. We will always have the Mules of the world to keep us honest to our true nature.
I also went through the 31 pages of pics in the Jack Olsen self-portrait thread to see how many actually have the testicles/ovaries to post their pictures. Put a face with the sword if you will. Not to many. I'd wager to say if everyone had to put their picture up prior to a post we'd have way less bickering. But then where's the entertainment in that? ;)
FWIW...

Hello Shaun, it's a pleasure, I'm also a big fan of the 240Z. We're in the same neck of the woods. Maybe one day we can share a beer or 7.

Shaun @ Tru6 02-09-2008 07:09 PM

Hey Mark, that'd be great. I grew up in Haddam and go back as much as I can to see my Grandfather. Will let you know the next time I'm down, could probably swing over 66-3-2 and head home on 395, would be a pleasure, first one's on me.

Nice post BTW.

kstar 02-09-2008 07:20 PM

I've been a bit hesitant about posting my photo for fear it would prompt some of the more heartless folks here to ridicule my appearance.

But I guess I am among friends and I'll try to show some emotional strength.

Ha, ha; pricelessly funny!
My mugs in Jacks Thread, the Family Thread and many others.

If we're picking sides; I'm on Buckterriers/Mark's team!!!

BTW, all kidding aside; I agree with him too. One of the things that makes this board so much different than other boards is the accountability of the posters. Like I've said before, somewhere someone knows someone that knows someone that knows you! If we all knew that one day we'd be squatting sadly in front the might rath of Buckterrier, we'd be alot nicer to each other.

I vote accountability.
Let the other trolls take a flying fish fart and go post somewhere else. ;)

Love those 240's though!

For the record, my take on things is that I don't really have an issue when somebody says something is idiotic. I do have an issue when they call someone here an idiot (Bush and Hillary are fair game, as they don't post here). It is akin to when I umpired/refereed. My rule on the field was simple: you can say whatever you want about my call. The minute you say something about me you're gone.

And if you've ever played sports, you've no doubt heard the phrase, "second foul is the one that gets called." Why not be a bigger man and not stoop to their level?

I'm not a kindergarten teacher. I'm not going to read through every bit of tripe people post. I have other things to do (shocking I know) and am not compensated in any way, shape or form for moderating. I'm requesting that you not call people names (or discuss gerbil-related habits). I don't really care if they called you a name first. That defense doesn't work with my 11 year old and it certainly shouldn't work with an adult.

I am free to call myself a poopyhead at any time however.

Why, isn't it just "good natured ribbing" as you've claimed in the past....?

Sapporo Guy 02-10-2008 05:37 AM

Actually, I think a reality check every once in a while does help.

Everything is lovey dovey for the first 2.5 pages and then back to business as normal :D

I love PPOT!!!

What I lack in good looks, I make up for in personality! Ha, Ha, Ha.
(Ya right!)

Fact is, I just never did ugly and married up; way up!
Thanks for the comp; you look like a tough guy in that photo of yours!

Mark, I'm not quite sure of the "level" you refer to, to which Janus stooped. But if you you want to see where the "stooping" began, click here:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/3735261-post172.html
Then the stooping continued with a complete unwillingness by Janus & his posse to touch the issue at hand. It became somewhat of a "dog pile on the mule," if you will. I'm not complaining. I carry my own water. BUT, when tears start to flow, I'm a bad guy. If they wanted to play hard ball, they should have brought their gloves.

As to your statement, I'm trying to find the link between testicles & willingness to post a picture. Great pic by the way. The scowl is really working! Maybe we could shorten the link between testicles mass & willingness to post pics, & just post pics of our testicles. I'm still trying to work on the logic of your post, does it mean that because you post a pic showing your angry expression and tattoo that I should be reluctant to respond to a post of yours? You look old enough to be a little more mature.

dtw 02-10-2008 09:14 AM

I'd just like to say, that I do not want to see pictures of anyone's gear.

Hey Mule, did you send those emails to Janus?

Yes I read the whole thread as I stated. And yes there was quite a bit of dog piling on the old Mule. But I think is was warranted. You reap what you sow? But I won't get into a peeing contest with you.
As far as the scowl it was the intent of the JO thread. So without further ado this is the real me.. smile, wrinkles, and pink... er salmon shirt and all.
And Mule... I am mature enough to be old!!!

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1202667007.jpg

gprsh924 02-10-2008 09:16 AM

I think the point of the picture was to put a face to the name so that maybe people would be less willing to berate people the way that they sometimes do if they felt that they actually knew the other poster in a sense.

WOW!!!! You are a cutie Mule, (just kidding of course). See, with all the troll talk etc. I would have thought you were a bitter fat old man with Napoleon Syndrome. Instead you are a handsome man with a fine taste in woman. Now lets work on that kinder, gentler side ;)
(I really have to stop wearing that pink, er salmon shirt. It makes me stay in touch with my ovary side :D )
And that bong thang... My Co. started random drug testing a few years ago so no illegal stuff for me. :( You can build nuclear subs stoned but Gawd forbid you work in a paint system under the influence.
Nice to meet you.
