Old Porsche Magazine Ad...and then you wake up!

Does anyone remember an old print ad for Porsche about meeting a farmer who stored his deceased son's car in the barn after the son died in the war?

That was a great ad!! Front was a head on shot of a dusty speedster, IIRC. I think I have a copy of it somewhere......

Was it the two page Speedster ad? If so Porsche had them on the '85 or '86 car mags. I remember also they had the black 928S with the 4-valves intro ad.

I recall that ad. About a barn find 356. Something about running out of gas in the countryside. Narrator goes to the closest farmhouse to ask if they have any gas he can purchase. Old farmer says sure, goes out to the barn to fetch it, and when he opens up the barn doors, there's a dusty but perfect (except for one flat tire) red 356 peeking out from a corner. Farmer tells the story of how his son bought it and drove it a bit, but then left (for the military? life in the big city?) and it's been sitting ever since. But if you make an offer...

makes me want to drop a built 914 motor in one of those tubeframe kit cars when I see a pic of a car like that
