JPIII, have you considered Webers? If so, is simplicity the reason you are running a Holley?

They flew that V-22 out of the sea and landed it safely after being several feet into the water:eek:. One marine bailed out and was presumed drowned. Both engines were toast. Apparently the engines were started in a run-mode not intended for flight. :(

Reminds me of this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/873327-captain-transasia-flight-235-shut-off-working-engine.html
Seems not only the pilot training outside of the US is in a sad state ;-)

I've not really considered it. Simplicity is a good reason not the spend $4K on the Weber setup...... The Holley set up is about 1/4 of that. (but not near the cool factor)

I'm trying to avoid Porsche prices on the 65 and have been semi-successful. Mustang prices are about half or 1/3rd.....but there are a lot more issues to address.

Ford inline carbs for the Mustang? Must be pricey...

Im getting one of my minibikes put back together. ts got an old 4 hp cast iron clinton engine, leaf spring front end and sliding pillar rear. All from scratch

IIRC, the only small block manifolds made for these carbs mated to Boss heads--which were intended to be really high RPM running beasts.
