ps Great Photo BTW
Some of both. I volunteered as part of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, who hosted the train when it would visit this part of Texas. We would provide car attendants and concessions workers. I usually ended up slinging snacks and soft drinks in one of the lounge cars. Was great just to ride along.

Either a new driver or a confused driver must have been navigating today:

The bus was blessedly empty of passengers!
Local paper reports the driver was "off route" whatever that means.

I attended Cal Poly right when that undercrossing was built to replace the old at grade crossing. A local student housing complex had London double decker buses they had to dump because they were too tall to fit under according to campus legend.

I would have thought that Ruf would have eliminated the weight of the heavy mechanized top and went with a light weight manual top for the puristic pursuit of performance over convenience.

Date Published: 20 July 2015
RUF Turbo Florio

Quote:
The 991 Carrera Coupe is as good a handling car as money can buy. However, the change in weight distribution with the Targa’s heavy rear window glass and folding roof mechanism high up in the rear has a negative impact on the way the car turns into bends at high speeds, and this really skews the balance away from the fine handling of the Coupe....................................

In seven-speed dual-clutch form with 4WD, the Turbo Florio takes just 3.1 sec to reach 100km/h, and 9.2 sec from zero to double that velocity. And if you have enough straight autobahn, 300km/h comes up in 25.5 sec on the way to its 338km/h, or 210mph, Vmax.
