Even an AN-2 biplane is pretty big. :D

There used to be one at the Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, but I just checked their website and they do not list it. Guess it's gone. Heck, I was just up there 20 years ago......

I read once that it was the largest single-engine biplane ever built. I don't know if that is true, but the Guinness Book of World Records states that the 45-year production run for the An-2 was for a time the longest ever for any aircraft.

Plane featured in Upland air show crashes near Highland elementary school



The pilot should be commended for landing in a patch most Cessna 150's would have a difficult time putting down in. The SB area is literally a sea of homes and buildings for those unfamiliar with the region.

A sad day seeing the AN-2 sitting on its roof. We have two sitting at the local airport being brought back to flying status. At least the green one is....
