Im working on a new bike now. Its going to be like a utility bike. Beefy frame and good pulling power. Im using a Honda 5hp from a pressure washer and lots of the tubing from the pressure washer frame.

I think the air path on a PT-6 is interesting. Air scoop on the front, ducted to the rear of the engine compartment where the air intake is with exhaust back at the front of the nacelle, inches from the intake.
So the air does a 180 twice.

Topped by the P-47 Jug.
Air intake at the front of the nacelle, ducted to the turbocharger way back behind the pilot and back up to the carb at the engine. Something like 15' of duct, intake to carb.
But then, turbo lag was not an issue at all.

Used to do air-cooled bugs.

The consensus was that opening the bottom of the engine lid was counterproductive... it just sucked in hot engine cooling air exhaust.

Stand-offs at the top hinges was the preferred method.

Gorgeous car... and wheels. '67?

Even the big water would be safer with a skirt.
(um, provided the thing isn't loaded up with 'travel accessories' of course ;) )

It's possible to do it w/o paddle for the more limber.

The -400 hasn't been 'new' for at least 10 years.

-8 is the current 747.
