The next generation Defender is due sometime around 2016. Image of the DC100 concept used for illustration only........................

The brand has already confirmed that the next generation of the Defender will be launched next, following the Range Rover and Discovery. Reports say that the car will feature a modern design, monocoque chassis, and latest off-road technologies, which is space age to the hardware that the original Defender used throughout its lifespan.

Some had the fixed boom, others had the drogue. Oh, and the TU-4 went out of service in the '60's.

Sweet ride. My friend's dad bought a Datsun 1500 in 1963 in Garden Grove, CA. He was a big shot with Polaroid and got an advance issue. It might have been the first one in SoCal. He let his kid drive it, my friend. We smoked MGB's but not Austin Healey 3000's. No 4-banger could keep up with it. It ate my dad's 356 C for lunch. Your car could be that one. Look for LoBue if you do a title search.
