Yep, like a still (diSTILLation).
the closer the specific gravity of the molecules are that you're trying to separate, the taller the distillation tower needs to be.

These are drums for a delayed coking unit at chevron. Only about 90 feet tall and about 20' wide.

University of Southern California Law Professor Orin Kerr says parking enforcers could avoid potential Fourth Amendment issues by simply taking a photo of the car rather than chalking it. In recent years, cities have begun to use technology to monitor parking, including license plate readers and other computer software to track vehicles.

The end of an era and of one of my favorite aircraft. This last remaining "flying wing" - Northrop N9M went down nearby. I saw her fly many times at the Planes of Fame annual show, which it was practicing for.
Prayers for the pilot and his family.

Very sad.

When I was moving into a place in Corona, CA. My father and I both saw this thing fly over at high speed towards Lake Mathews. We were both mesmerized by the sight, sound and speed at which it flew. The sky was overcast and it looked black , not the dark blue it was painted on the bottom. It was two years before the debuted it to the world at Chino.

I was always inquiring for two years before my question was answered.

Prayers to the family

Surprisingly, it was not that fast.... B-17, for instance had a higher max speed.
