This is Franz Herman Lerch, he had a shop in Jacksonville, and like so many of the Early Porsche techs that came to the US, had a great Early race history, including being involved with another big name of the era, that was later, right down the street. I was fortunate enough to know him, listen to his stories and we even bought a 67 911S project from him in the early, mid 80s. Another icon who is now missed.

Sebring for sure. I was trying to figure it out also. I think it's Turn 5. It all looks so different without the bridges and buildings today.

Interesting thing about these cars^^^^^ the driver side exhaust manifold would cook the master cylinder in hot stop-go-traffic, the turning radius was reduced because either the tire or linkage would contact exhaust, brakes were undersized for a big block, and on and on. They drove terribly, even compared to similar all-out offerings of that era.

CURT. yes T5. I see see it now. no bridges, no armcote, no hotel, unbelievable. I love those Daytona Cobras. thanks for posting.

If the negative was reversed, the numbers on the cars would be backwards like this...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1661320938.jpg

It must be a different turn.
