Okay... I posted based on your post and did not go back to the original to read the story. In the original (post 10084), it says that the planes are shipped into NM for inspection and regeneration prior to being flown onward to VA - but it does not say where they came to NM from. It's a bit ambiguous, however is it possible that they are unairworthy (maybe from Davis Monthan), shipped in the Guppy to NM, "regenerated" and then flown under their own power to VA?

Both engines lost power at FL410; forced landing in a field, striking an irrigation structure and trees. Improper refueling by FBO personnel at Lawrence, MA caused the Challenger to depart with water contaminted fuel.
