Not impressed with the prices... except for the Cuda... if I had the coin I would be on that like stink on poo!

I've owned Barracuda fastbacks in the past... a '67 and a '68.
The '67 was a 383 car. The engine had continuous cooling problems in the summer. Without power steering, it was a beast to steer at low speed. I don't think I would buy another one, but it would be a lot of fun with the manual trans. The 6.3 liter engine only pumped out 300hp*, but had a lot of torque.

I was much happier with my fathers Barracuda coupe, which was equipped with a 340. The 340 was a lighter, higher revving engine that produced almost as much horsepower as the 383. And it didn't overheat in the summer.

$39,000 for a 993 that needs engine work?
I would think the 930 would be a better catch.

Coming in 2012, to a Toyota-Scion and Subaru dealership near you...
"Inspired by the sporty 1980's Corolla AE86, the production version of the FT-86 is reported to be powered by
a 200-hp 2.0L boxer Subaru engine sending power to the rear wheels. Prices are set to start above $20,000."
Rear wheel drive, 5 or 6 speed manual gearbox, and (relatively) affordable!
