I don't know whom to vote for in the VA primary
For the first time since I've been voting in VA, our primary actually matters. I had thought it would have been locked up by now and so had planned to vote for Ron Paul. We have no party registration here, so I can vote for anyone. Dems and Reps are on the same day.
If I vote for Obama, it could hurt Hildabeast and I'd love nothing more. But she might be easier to beat in the general. This is especially true if McCain gets the GOP nomination, since Obama's supporters would not automatically flock to Hillary. If I vote for McCain, I'll hate myself. If I vote for Huckabee, I'll sleep fine, but it will have nothing to do with hurting Hildabeast. If I vote for Hildabeast, I'll need a shower and therapy afterwards, probably a trip to the range and then a titty bar to feel totally normal again. But I think she would be the weakest one in a general election. Still, I can't bear the thought of her getting that close to being president (again). If I vote for Ron Paul, I'll truly feel good about myself and know I did the right thing. But my vote will have then been wasted and have no effect on Hildabeast or McCain. What to do? |
Rick, it doesn't matter who you vote for. The "Super deligates" will be the ones choosing the final candidates. So why waste your time. JMO

Some famous person once wrote: "to thine own self be true" You have only one vote(except in Chicago), so go ahead and vote for Ron. You will feel better and when it all goes horribly wrong for the winner in about 2 years, you will have that little self-comfort of recalling "I didn't vote for that idiot!"

That's over the top...tone it down. Political differences, no matter how strong, do not deserve violence. |

Second, Political differences, at their strongest, requires violence. That is the justification for every 2nd Amendment Fanboi on this site. Period. and that's the basis for our Country. Third, those three have done more to damage our country than any other modern entity. I listen to them. Their use of the public airwaves is obscene and destructive, for what? So you can buy their chotchke crap made in China, join their premium member clubs and buy the unused timeshares they personally hawk. They are entertainers based on emotion and hate designed only to make a buck off of you. I was listening to Jay Severin on Wednesday, just after Super Tuesday and Romney got whipped. Jay has been a long time Romney fan, and the hate that spewed through my car speakers directed at McCain and Huckabee was unconscionable. If you are for repealing the 2nd Amendment, I'll tone it down. |
Shaun, the difference is I am looking to protect myself and my family, from a riot. You are suggesting murdering specific people.
Rick, political games have a way of backfiring. Even though I think Hillary would be easier to beat, I would rather see Obama running against McCain. Obama may be extremely liberal, but he isn't a stupid guy. I believe his heart is genuine. Hillary will say or do anything to win and gain power. Her run for Senate, in a State where she had no affiliation, blessed by the NY Democratic machine, proves this. If you cross lines, vote for Obama. Other wise, vote your heart. Maybe a John McCain/Ron Paul ticket would work... |

Everyone here wants to break out the guns at the slightest provocation by an unseen, nameless "enemy." Put a name and a face to the enemy and it becomes murder. I guess it's more palatable under the family protection doctrine. I care more about the country as a whole, and the growing infection of hate. |
Shaun,
Those three poeople you want to murder are talk show hosts for God's sake... As has been said, Red just thinks he needs personal and family protection. While I applaud your passion for our country and our Constitution I think it's a bit mis-directed. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to fly to Dallas and bury my best friend... |
I understand your point. I am often an absolutest when it comes to the biggest picture.
Safe flight and I'm sorry for your friend's passing. Been through that myself. |
This is really tough.....on one hand, I want Hillary to be the dems choice as I feel "somewhat" confident that she would lose to McCain.....on the other hand if McCain were to lose, I would feel "less" suicidal with Obama winning. Even though McCain is has some flaws, I will ultimately support him......a middle of the road republican is still much better than having ANY dem at the controls.
Rick, you are a realist, vote in a way that will realistically give you the best chance for the least objectionable outcome. You never struck me as the type to throw your vote away just so that you might "feel" better. |

sorry I couldn't pass that one up |
What you guys are missing about "Hildabeast" LOL , is she's very popular in NY state, even among Republicans. Won 65% of the vote in the last election there.
She ain't that liberal, except on women's issues. Worked for Goldwater in 64. The Clintons are friendly with the Bush's, believe it or not. |

Ok, I think I am voting for Ron Paul. That way I will feel good about my vote, no matter what happens in the end.

Well Hillary not succeeding does seem important to alot of us...Seems she's hurting a little. so have you seen that she "loaned" herself 5 million? How does that work exactly. She loaned her campaign money. When the campaign pays her back...does she get interest?
|
I don't think she can get interest back on her loan. But the real shenanigans starts when she doesn't use subsequent fundraising to pay her loan back. The newer money is used for campaign stuff and it's subject to all the FEC restrictions. Then, a while after the campaign is overwith, she'll hold a debt retirement party with all the old Clintonistas chipping in. I don't believe that money is then subject to FEC limits or restrictions. So basically, whatever she loans herself, she can also raise that much in whatever increments and from whomever she wants. It's a huge loophole that McCain's law didn't even address. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see some Chinese or Arab super rich folks pay that debt off for her.
