That's weird man.
|
Yeah, I dunno what happened...I worked for quite some time to start the thread, But it took forever to come up, and it came up blank...so I give up.
Mr. moderator, please delete both threads I posted with this heading. I may be having ISP problems or something. I may try later...or not. |
How weird was it?
|
Wow...that was weird!
|
It's mine.
|
Weird.
|
IMO ... nothing out of the ordinary ... so what's the big deal :D
|
I'm definitely weirded out.
|
Okay...here's the story. Fedex dropped a package. It contained a tin replica (80% size) of the street sign at the Porsche factory. Also an invitation to please come test drive the new Cayenne S...with it's shiny 20" "Dubs", and all the bells and whistles. I thought...WTF??? I must not be off Porsche Cars North America's mailing list yet...
|
Have you seen my package? It's kind of large and well. . . weird.

No thanks, not interested. Come to think of it, that would be my response to the test drive invitation, if I'd bothered to respond. |

A salesman WILL call. |
It's the original street sign from in front of the factory. "Porschastraub" (sp)
Friend of mine just got one. It's a keeper in my book! -W |
If anyone doesn't want their Porschastraub(sp) street sign, I'm sure I could find a wall to hang it on. :)

Ahhh GEEZE! Wish they'd leave me alone already. Nothing made by Porsche today interests me...regardless of my ability to buy same. A tin sign delivered by fedex is supposed to turn me on? It's already in the local landfill...or maybe not. It's probably sitting in a trash can, awaiting my next trip to the local "transfer station". These days, I'd prefer seeing pool balls spread out over the table, after my break...the balls spread out like a $3 whore on Friday night....I'd never want to be seen driving a Cayenne! Or a Cayman, or a Boxter, and the list goes on.. |
Back in '88 or '89 when I was in college, I got a slip saying that I had a package. I picked up the package and it was a poster tube from Porsche NA. I didn't have a license at that point and road a bike. It was a poster and an invitation to schedule an appointment for a test drive. The only thing that I can think was that they got my name from Road and Track because I had a subscription at the time.

You asked first. Retrieved from the trash. Soon as you PM your snail mail address, I'll ship it off the next time I go by the local post office...I sure don't want it. |
