It's a beautiful day.

Going kayaking later to just relax after a long weekend of drinking. Then back to the books. Anyone else enjoying this weather down here? It's beautiful.

Rick V 02-10-2008 11:36 AM

Oh yeah we are having a wind storm with winds going over 60 mph. the joy is too much to keep bottled in. I'm glad you started this thread.
:)

cool_chick 02-10-2008 11:45 AM

Right now it's 2°F with 20-30 MPH winds, but shockingly, the sun is shining. Whoo hoo....

62 degrees here in Charlotte. Took both P-cars out to stretch their legs. And took a 3 mile run in shorts and a t-shirt. Yes, a BEAUTIFUL day!

pavulon 02-10-2008 12:36 PM

-11 ambient, sunny, 15-30 mph winds...went to the gym, local big box, gonna wash the car again (it can't get dirty right away at this temp)...2-3 more months to a reliable spring!!!

peppy 02-10-2008 12:40 PM

Just cooked a bunch of food for the vol. fire dept. they have 10 brush fires they are trying to contain. Oh I just love it!

slodave 02-10-2008 12:49 PM

80+ degrees here. I'm in shorts and spent the morning with my R/C glider club.

GothingNC 02-10-2008 01:07 PM

Just got home after a ride in the Targa with my youngest daughter.

65 and sunny
20 MPH winds with gusts up to 45

Tomorrow will be in the 40's for the day:(

YTNUKLR 02-10-2008 01:12 PM

61 in Berkeley. After weeks of rain, this past week has been utterly sublime. Riding my bike around and just basking in it before I have to think again about computer programming and linguistics.

speeder 02-10-2008 01:21 PM

80 deg. in L.A., riding MC around in a t-shirt and jeans. Clean air after the storms, whole city washed clean, snow visible on the mountains, beautiful women everywhere you look, yeah, it sucks.

JeremyD 02-10-2008 05:36 PM

a Balmy 74 degrees here - I took the cabriolet up to radio shack for some speaker wire.

BRPORSCHE 02-10-2008 05:53 PM

Jeremy, you really missed out on Clear Lake today. It was beautiful. I love going kayaking right through the kemah channel. So many beautiful women to google at.

Now Jeremy I thought I had the water in my backyard man, but jeez you have it made. I am really trying to get into the whole sailboating thing. Sadly, I don't own the boat and am nowhere near skillfull enough to handle the boat by myself. Thankfully I get to go out on a whole bunch of boats during the weekends.

I feel like such an old guy. Guys my age need the speed of the jet ski or master craft, but I just like tooling around on the sailboat.

P.S I live right on Taylor Lake, which is a tributary to Clear Lake. Your familiar to the area right?

JeremyD 02-12-2008 07:01 PM

Oh yes - I know the area well. I used to live on Nasa Road 1 - My best friend ran the Jalepeno Tree Restaurant in the day. I wind surfed on Taylor lake with some chick who lived there and was going to University of Houston CL - but that was eons ago. Used to go to the Turtle Club and watch the Wednesday night races - I sailed my share of races too - typically on other peoples boats.

CJFusco 02-12-2008 07:19 PM

Well, the weather isn't so nice here in CT... but I always manage to find a good time.

Well the turtle club is still here. The first pic is a completely one right before my camera died. I was trying to get a pic of a massive catermerann (however the heck you spell that) that was coming into Clear Lake. The second one is my favorite fishing spot for redfish. Right behind the 'Beer Garden' on 518 in Clear Lake Shores.

I love this place.

Wickd89 02-12-2008 07:38 PM

84 degrees in Orange County, CA today...
I know weather isn't everything, but .................

Evans, Marv 02-12-2008 08:14 PM

Was in the 80s in San Diego County today. Took my FZ1 on a ride into the east county mountains. The air was sweet!

911Rob 02-12-2008 08:50 PM

Ba$tards!

We just keep shovelling snow ;)

JeremyD 02-13-2008 05:29 AM

I forgot about the Beer Garden - how funny - is it still basically a fenced off side yard? HAHA
