Meet Zoe
On Monday I went over to Pasadena and picked up this little girl. She is 4 1/2 years old and is a Jack Russel Terrier Mix. She is the sweetest most docile little dog. She loves to sit in my lap when watching TV and snuggles up in Bed. Her body is all muscle, and can drag me when she is on a leash. The people who had her just couldn't afford to keep her anymore, and she wasn't getting all the attention she deserved. She is well socialized with other dogs and cats. She has no issues that I can discern yet. She is house broken and comes when called. She doesn't seem to understand the word sit. She is really a lovable little dog. I wind up just feeling so bad taking her away from her family, but it was either me or the Pet Adoption Agency.

Sounds like you been away from the buffet for to long. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1203456794.jpg |
Tabs, great little dog. I love the look of Russells but had always heard they will engage in a fight with almost any other dog. Great that she doesn't have that, huge congrats for saving a little beauty like her from what might have been a poor fate.
I'll offer a very strong recommendation to you/anyone in Socal. There is a dog training club that operates out of Jackie Robinson field across the street from the Rose Bowl. It is weirdly named, it is call the 'Pasa-nita" dog club. A bunch of 50's-60's women who loved dogs run it and it can't be beat for the ...I think $60 or $80 for weeks and weeks of training sessions. Puts the dumb things they have at Petsmart and the like to shame. Highest recommendation. No affiliation, just great results. You meet one night a week for an hour and the ladies will work with you if you have a special problem or a dog that isn't "getting it". |
Where are you two registered? BB&B? ;)

My daughter and son in law have 2. Since she doesn't have any kids yet, their our grandogs. Very clever, inquisitive, smart, and did I say smart? They will chase a tennis ball 24-7 if given the opportunity. The tells me JR's are one of the most sought after then dumped dogs there is they are so wound up. At 4 yours should be pretty mellow.

You are the big dog now Tabs, being that dogs are pack animals.
Never let her forget who the leader is. |
Congrats! She's as cute as a button. We haven't been able to bring ourselves to pick up a new dog yet. Been over a year since we lost our old girl Kenya but the wound still feels fresh.

That don't look like no Airedale to me.

Cool dog Tabs, but why didn't you let us know you were in town???

They are fun dogs. BIG energy. We got ours from the rescue place. His name is Simon.
