anyone own an electric skateboard?

I've been snooping around on the net and there seem to be just a few on the market....looks pretty cool!

Carving without the work and all terrain if you want

Funny you say this tonight. I don't have an electric skateboard, but I do have an original Powell-Peralta McGill concave from 1984 sitting in my garage right next to my 1985 928S2...

I drove both of them today.

N!

Christ, don't get me going on this. I'm 38 and I have been looking at long boards. I haven't been on a skateboard in 20 years. I don't see this ending well......but the 5 minutes before I end up in traction will be a blast.

I know I'm going to get grief on this reply!

OK, so I'm 39 and I was never much of a skateboarder...

So 3 years ago I bought a nice Sector 9 longboard...beautiful peice of equipment.

The only thing is that I'm not a crazy teen and so while I love carving, I'm just not up to dealing with the speed of a good hill

I see a quality electric board that has both brakes and power as a pretty cool way of commuting along a bike path to the downtown core or at least going for a spin knowing that I have can focus on the turning and stay with both feet on the board and with the knowledge that I have brakes

Seems like a good eco thing to do as well

All you experienced california skaters....start tearing away at me

I'm 42, and have been known to hop on my G&S and ride around the block
