Any Festool owners?
I'm looking to purchase a plunge saw and dust extractor fairly soon and was wondering where you guys got yours from.
I've located a website linked from Festool USA as an authorized dealer that's selling the TS75 plunge saw and CT 22 extractor for hundreds less than every other website. Too good to be true? Also (and more importantly) are you happy with your ownership experience thus far? |

I have quite a few of their tools. The prices should all be the same unless it is used, as Festool sets the prices and it is all shipped from them unless the dealer has it in his stock, and even then the price would still be the same.
I buy most of mine from Bob Marino: http://www.bobmarinosbesttools.com/ Once you get over the sticker shock their retail system makes a lot of sense. It is all very well designed and built stuff. I have that saw and extractor and they work great. You might want to consider getting one of the MFT workbenches too as they work very well together as a system. Be careful - it is a very slippery slope. Once you get hooked, you have to have more and more.

Thanks Jim. I suspected that all the prices should be the same. That's what prompted me to find it odd that this website is selling the TS75 and CT 22 package for some 70 odd $$ cheaper, and is local.
http://www.accuratesystems.biz/ProductCatalog.asp?ProductType=1008 Thanks for the Bob Marino link, most of the people I've spoke with recommend/buy through him.

If you are in the market for festool tools, buy them now or before April 1. As of April 1st, Festool will raise the prices by ~11%.
Fact. I'm the marketing manager at a mail order/catalog biz that sells a lot of TS saws, RO sanders, Domino joiners, CT dust extractors etc etc.

Great news about the prices going up.
Thanks for the heads up, at least I have some time to decide what "must haves" to get before the increase. Dan, a couple of questions: Do you have the waterproof Dominos in stock and what quantities do they come in? Have you heard if the Kapex will be introduced in the US before the $ increase?

Jim
Talked to purchasing dept, no word on Kapex mitre saw in the states...re: waterproof domino...I believe we've only got the standard tenons and the usual Domino joiners (Q plus etc). I am pretty far removed from the products, however...spending most of my day looking at spreadsheets crunching advertising ROI nonsense...so I'm unfortunately not the best person to ask.
