Cool The Clash: Ice vs Hot Air

Well, it appears that the Ice is pushing back Hard against the hot air of Al Gore and the doom-sayers.

NOAA has quietly noted that the ice is back in the arctic, and about 30% more in the antarctic.

Are Polar Bears happy again?

Is the Ice back due to all of Al's good intentions?

...or does global warming still exist as mans fault, because Al Gore meant well?

The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Engines stop running and the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
London is drowning-and I live by the river

This has been one freakin' cold winter. The ice is thicker here than it has been for ages and Lake Superior's levels are rising again for the first time in a decade. I've been thinking that that artic ice has to have been reforming too. I'll worry about global warming next year when I can wear a polo shirt outside in January.

Thanks for the rest of the lyrics. Funny how a band in the late 70's had this all figured out, back in the day.

Yeah, I'm just waiting for the delusional to start rationalizing their position. They've vested sooo much into the koolaid mix. They thought that they were soooo right. After all Al Gore is a scientist -- he created the internet.

Look no further than, but not directly at, the Sun for all of your weather needs and climate pattern models.

Who would have thunk it?

Best,

A line of any slope can be drawn through a single point.

Yes, but what is the implication of that? Should the line be shaped like a hockey-stick ...and skates?

well one school of thought states that global warming will result in an ice age. the melting ice cap pours cold fresh water into the north atlantic disrupting the flow of warm water coming up from the gulf of mexico hence disrupting the moderating effect it has on the weather. at least thats what they said in the movie"day after tomorrow'

who wants pie?

Anybody actually try the NOAA website. It doesn't really seem to have current ice cover/area.

Yeah, I tried. I couldn't find it either. Apparently their data is frozen too.
