Pilots and aviation fans! Live ATC communications link.

My first officer told me about this website yesterday after his dad (who was in Dubuque, Iowa) called him in while we were in San Jose and told him that he had just listened to our flight depart Orange County airport in SoCal and then arrive in San Jose an hour later.

Click on the links on the US map that comes up.

Enjoy!

Cool, I don't know if I want to hear myself on the radio though. I might be squeaky voice guy....

Wish I had a working sound card on this computer. Oh well. I do have my scanner on my desk and listen to LGB tower semi-regularly.

So that's you, eh Jess? I always wondered who that squeaky voice guy was. :p:cool:

PS - did you see your post count, Jess?

Yeah I'm also the guy who signs on to SoCal approach around 5pm looking for VFR flight following to Palo Alto. I always let the controller know that we're going via LAX direct Gorman direct Bakersfield direct Paso Robles direct Woodside at 6,500. I bought the red and green SkyHawk five years ago, my birthday is tomorrow, and I'm wearing blue socks.

I'm sure you've heard me on the radio :D

Nice catch on the post count, quite the appropriate thread for it too!

Wow that map is amazing! Do the birds eye view! Pretty cool listening in also.

Occasionally you hear some really hilarious stuff on ATC. I miss those days. Hope to get back into some personal recreational flying in the near future. A goal of mine for the coming year is to get back in the seat and (hopefully) get my CFI current again and maybe do a little teaching on weekends. It's all a question of time and money though, and unfortunately both are in a bit of short supply lately. . .

...it's giving me flashbacks.

Neat site, we get a giggle out of it here from time to time. In fact sometimes we use it to verfiy a readback/hear back issue as it can be quicker than getting a tape secured. Always still verified with the tape once it is secured...

It does not play all frequencies and it seems to combine them up at times making it hard to follow.

tune in right now to CYVR, I am just putting my headset on and walking onto the ops room floor to take a seat......... :)

Cheers
