My thought exactly. The cars in the photos look like garden variety Fiero kits. Perhaps the Italians are more testy about copyright at home?

Just wait when the see the PontiRossa:

Sometimes I feel bad for those Fieros. Anyone else ever driven one with a V6? Not a bad little car for ~3k... I just couldn't live with the Kmart interior though.

when i was restoring my 73S , i was doing so in a diy garage
there was a guy there who owned the worst kinds of cars

1 911T, converted to slantnose, he insisted it was a supercar with 340 hp ( looked like stock 911T to me, ran like ****, and had a belly pan made out of rust)
1 Bonito kitcar... look it up, be brave... in terrible shape, he called it a Ferrari Bonito
1 928, the most decent looking car of the lot, looked stock, but electrical gremlins
Then he claimed he had another Ferrari, worth more then all the cars in that place summed up together... he insisted we moved our projects, so he could bring it over, and have room around it so nobody would even get close to his precious ferrari...

guess what ... it was a Fiero with 308 body kit...

oh yeah, the dude was a fortune teller... all sorts of websites about paranormal crapola... and he was a conspiracy paranoid nutcase too... walked around with tape recorder on his belt.. took us a while to figure out, how he would come up with all sorts of discussions, and then pick em apart word by word... and then he'de send letters from his lawyer... that were written like it was a 4th grader. spelling errors and what not...

There's a very stock looking Fiero in this town. Under it's engine lid, it's caddy northstar V-8. It scoots pretty well.

Yup, the Fiero could have been a nice little car. Unfortunately, the doors kept falling off, etc. Not a good sign of build quality.

I don't think the look of a car is protected. It's when companies start putting trademarked or copyrighted badges on cars that they run into trouble.

Beck cars are sold without any Porsche badging or them.
